Monterey J's self-produced debut album The Root was released independently in 2023, whilst his sophomore EP Welcome 2 South London, an ode to the creative scene of South London, received praise from national outlets including BBC Radio 1, Jazz FM, and Notion. Now returning with a stellar quintet, Monterey J steps forward with a powerful sound shaped by new original compositions, jazz standards, and Brazilian music.
